Winter ASP Registration Closes Dec. 6 (or when classes fill)

ASP update – Yoga (Monday session), Crazy Circuits, Volleyball, Art Club, Bear Perfect, Lego Club, and Improv! are now full. These classes are at risk of being cancelled: Kindness Club, Chess Club (both days), Tuesday Yoga (K-5), and Scene & Monologue. These classes also have space available: Authors Club, Healthy Cooking Club, and Spy Academy.

Hi parents! ASP registration is opening up now for PTO Members. Not a PTO member yet? You can join during the registration process. Why join and register today? Because I guarantee some of these amazing classes will fill up before general registration opens on Friday. If you are not a member, your registration will be held until Friday and your student placed in the program(s) based on space available. Fees are not due until Jan 14.
What’s on offer for the Winter Session? 16 wonderful programs, including returning favorites chess, art, volleyball, yoga, and boot camp, plus new offerings from Brainiacs, an Authors Club, new drama programming, and a fun new class with Mr. Brockway called Bear Perfect (hint…youtube Dude Perfect).
We are so excited about this session – take a look and let us know what questions you have!

Welcome back!

For those that don’t know me yet, I am your new PTO President and I am VERY excited to be voted into this service position. Together, the PTO Executive Committee, and I are looking forward to providing enriching and enjoyable programs and activities for the students this year. Whether you are new to our school or a returning family, our primary focus is the same – the children!

New this year: PTO meeting and Food Truck are both 1st Wed of each month. Food Truck 4-7 and PTO 6pm. Come get some dinner, eat in the cafeteria and send your kids off for an hour with HS volunteers so you can get some time with other adults! 😊

Sept – Golly Waffles // Meet & Greet w/ Principal and PTO Board Members
Oct – Grange & Grub // Warren Pelton: School Safety
Nov – Say Cheese // Speaker TBD: Social Media Safety

Past that – it’s up to you! What other school related topics would you be interested hearing about?

It was inspiring to meet so many parents the last two nights and I look forward to meeting many more tomorrow morning. **No matter your schedule, we can always use the help. The volunteer surveys are in your 1st Day folders. Please let us know your interests. We hope you will join us in making this an amazing year! **

  • After School Programs scholarships
  • Challenge Math
  • Teacher Funds Reimbursements
  • Fine Arts Fair
  • Family Reading Night
  • Chorus

  • Contribution to the 5th Grade Farewell Party
  • Butterfly Project
  • Have-A-Heart Party
  • Parent Liaison Community Support

Election Time!

Dear Lovettsville Families,

As we approach the end of the school year, it’s time to start thinking about next year’s PTO board and event chairs. I am happy to say that many of the current board members have expressed a willingness to stay on next year. However, we have a few openings and it’s a great time to join the board as a co-chair to learn the ropes before some of us move on to Harmony.  We invite you to read about roles and responsibilities on the next page and encourage you to reach out with questions. We’d be thrilled to have you join us!

While we’re looking for help in all areas, we are particularly in need of a co-volunteer coordinator and a new President. I’m  at the end of my term, but I’d be happy to stay on the board another year or two in a different position in order to support the new PTO President.

Not sure you want to commit to a board position? We have lots of great events that need chairpersons. Grab a friend and take the lead in planning next year’s Halloween Family Night, Have A Heart Party or maybe you have another family event you’d like to introduce!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in more information, in volunteering or if you have any questions.

Warm regards,

Natalie Metzler

PTO President & ASP Coordinator
