Nature Club with Mr. Brockway

Each week we will “explore” the world around us with hikes (around our school property), make bird feeders, play in the mud, plant flowers, plant seeds, make nature art, etc. Minimum of 8 students, max 15.

Gymnastics with Coach Erin

Have fun with Coach Erin and learn/improve skills in gymnastics fundamentals, mat and bar work. Minimum of 5 students, max 15.

Chess Club with Mr. Mac

The Chess Club will provide instruction in mechanics, strategy and tactics as well as provide opportunities for children to play other club members in a positive environment. The objective of the class is to teach kids the fundamental aspects of the game of chess.  The mission of the program is to increase self-esteem, help kids to become critical thinkers and help them with problem solving.  Minimum of 8 students, max 20.

Kidding Around Yoga with Ms. Lundy

Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) is stress management for children. While teaching the science of yoga, KAY provides a curriculum that is specifically designed to help children be active, learn to relax, improve focus, and have FUN in a non-competitive environment. This is accomplished through cardiovascular conditioning, original songs, games, storytelling, and relaxation techniques. KAY reaches children through the way they learn best—play! Minimum of 5 students, max 14.

Fall Art Club- Let’s build it! with Mrs. Suitor

Students in this club will learn about different forms of sculpture through movies, discussion and photographs. Students will learn how and why artists choose to build rather than paint their art. We will explore several historical and contemporary artists who love to create sculpture. Picasso, Nevelson, Calder and Smith are just some of the artists we will use as inspiration for our own art.  Each week we will create a different sculpture using clay, paper tubes, cardboard, wire, feathers, beads and more.  This club is suitable for children of all ages.  If you sign up for this class bring one or two empty plastic water bottles to the first class. (this will become our first work of art!)  Minimum of 8 students, max 20.

Kids’ Boot Camp with Coach Jeff

Is your child looking for a way to get ready for Fall Sports? How about just getting FIT? Coach Jeff with Fitness Image Results will get your kid FIR-FIT!! This club will keep the children moving and teach them fun ways to become stronger and healthier. Minimum of 10 students, max 25.
